The Fiber tube laser machine B-160F easily cuts various materials. Cut quality is also influenced by the use of cutting gas. The following cutting gases can be used:
- Compressed air is the most commonly used gas for thin tubes (0.8 – 2.5 mm). Pressure is high: 10-20 bar.
- Nitrogen is often used for cutting thin materials (Steel) and Stainless Steel. It produces cuts of excellent quality on most materials. Pressure is also high: 10-24 bar.
- Oxygen is used primarily for cutting steel. Oxygen can also be used on stainless steel and aluminum, but it yields a rougher cutting edge. Pressure is much lower: 0.3 – 5 bar on average.
